SUMMARY
Abstract
Traditional SAFE liposuction delivers reliable fat removal but often leaves behind loose skin. The hypothesis is that adding BodyTite RFAL following PAL (power‑assisted liposuction) enhances skin contraction, FSN tightening, coagulation, and reduces operative time with minimal morbidity.
Conclusion
The SAFEST technique combining BodyTite RFAL with PAL achieves high patient satisfaction, significant soft tissue tightening, FSN contraction, faster procedure times, and low complication rates (~4.7%). Aesthetic surgeons should consider this multimodal protocol (PAL + BodyTite RFAL) for body contouring in areas like the abdomen, arms, flanks, thighs, and back. Proper temperature and endpoint control during RFAL ensures safety and uniform contraction.
TOPICS COVERED
- The evolution from SAFE to SAFEST liposuction by integrating PAL and BodyTite RFAL for enhanced soft tissue tightening.
- Technical protocol: timing and sequence of PAL vs. RFAL deployment remain under discussion (pre‑ vs post‑liposuction).
- Patient cohort and treated areas: 65 patients, 169 zones (abdomen, arms, flanks, back, thighs), with follow‑up at 12 months.
- Outcomes reported: skin tightening, body ligament (FSN) contraction, coagulation, and reduced surgical time.
