SUMMARY

Abstract
This paper evaluates the effect of peak power in intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments for skin rejuvenation. Lumecca IPL was designed with high peak power and shorter pulse duration, enabling more selective treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions. Patients received single-session treatments at fluences as low as 8 J/cm². The device demonstrated significant clearance of discoloration, even in patients unresponsive to other IPL systems, and achieved vascular lesion results comparable to pulsed dye lasers at lower fluences.

Conclusion
Lumecca IPL’s high peak power and optimized pulse design enhance selectivity, efficiency, and safety in treating vascular and pigmented lesions. Clinical outcomes show that single treatments provide visible improvement with minimal risk, highlighting Lumecca as an effective, advanced IPL system for skin rejuvenation with fewer sessions needed compared to standard IPL devices.
