SUMMARY
Abstract
This study reviews the application of radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) using BodyTite for patients with mild-to-moderate skin laxity who fall into the “treatment gap”—those not severe enough for excisional surgery yet unsuitable for liposuction alone. RFAL applies bipolar RF energy between internal and external electrodes, achieving adipose coagulation, fibroseptal contraction, and dermal tightening. Results from clinical experience show significant linear soft tissue contraction of up to 47% with improved skin quality and safety through real-time temperature and impedance monitoring.
Conclusion
RFAL with BodyTite reliably addresses patients with skin laxity who would otherwise face unsatisfactory outcomes with liposuction or scarring from excisional surgery. Its safety profile, rapid recovery, and reproducible results expand treatment options across anatomical areas such as arms, abdomen, medial thighs, and neck. The study confirms that BodyTite RFAL is an effective, minimally invasive solution to the longstanding treatment gap in aesthetic body contouring.
